According to an article in The Business Insider UK today, data analysis performed after the hack towards Ashley Madison, has proven that the extra-marital site had basically as good as no female users. Turns out there were just a bunch of dudes talking to each other. Pretty hilarious, if you ask me!
Discovering information and then making the right decision based on the new insight gained, is what data analysis is all about. I´d say this is a pretty good example of data analysis doing its job. So, the next question is easy – what to do about this new intel?
Considering that there are less than 1,500 women who have ever checked their messages on the site, compared to 20+ million men doing so, I am pretty sure most users will leave the site (if they haven´t already, as a result of fear to be exposed after the hack) after this newfound information.
Somebody should spill this info pretty wide and let people know. I´ve done my part
