I came across this image at IDEO´s Instagram account today, and love the term “Warm Data”. As I am in the middle of two consulting projects on big data, I keep getting reminded on the need to keep a balance between art and science in these projects.
It is important not to forget that ultimately it is all about engaging people, and this can best be done through the creation of engaging content that touch people – the art part. Although the science part does make things more relevant – and thereby more engaging.
Although the image below does focus more on the privacy issues in big data, the term Warm Data is all about making it engaging with a human touch. Me like.
Btw – IDEO is by far one of the most inspiring and exciting companies I know about. It is founded on the basis that diversity brings about innovation, and therefore they ensure to match people from completely different backgrounds when they staff up teams for their customer innovation projects. I recommend anyone interested in tech, design, innovation, team dynamics +++ to follow them.
