Just as I was on my way to vacation, I got a call from a client. He had some good news to share – and that was that our project got approval from the Norwegian Research Council to receive a “grant” to support the project for the next three years.
It is truly great to see that public support functions are not only designed to help small start-ups, but also mature companies working with digital innovation. I believe this is an important strategy to ensure a multitude of sources of innovation – as it happens everywhere. Even though larger companies might have more funds available to support development projects, it does not mean they easily get directed to innovation.
This is an important signal from the Norwegian Research Council that they support the entire range of businesses in developing new and innovative solutions. The digital shift and associated new business models and innovations are as important that happen in big business as in smaller start-ups. I send my kudos to this public agency for taking their part of the responsibility for supporting innovation in organizations of all shapes and forms. Thank you for the support and trust!
